Background

Hope is the Business Analyst at Umoja, working with our Hunger Solutions, Government and Food For Health teams to ensure we have the right solutions and resources in place to support Umoja’s wide range of partners and customers. She also works with food pantries across the country, developing unique solutions to support nutrition security and food access at the local level.

Hope started her career fighting food insecurity with Feeding America as a Child Hunger Corp member, identifying community needs and implementing new programming throughout rural Missouri. From there she spent 10 years managing food access programs and food resourcing in Indiana, Michigan, and California. Hope now brings her knowledge and expertise in food banking, sourcing and food insecurity to the Umoja family. Through her work with Umoja, Hope is channeling her drive to end hunger into data driven support for our teams working directly with hunger relief organizations. Helping Umoja to expand resources for our partners and clients.

Hope holds a Master of Public Affairs degree from Indiana University and received her B.P.S. in Culinary Arts Management from the Culinary Institute of America. In her free time, Hope is the Co-Founder and Co-Host of 2 Girls Talking Trash, a podcast focused on ending food waste through education and providing delicious recipes using scrap foods.
