Background

Lenora brings 26 years of procurement and hunger relief organization experience to Umoja.

Prior to Umoja, Lenora was in Procurement and Operations at The St. Louis Area Foodbank and Operation Food Search. She began her career in food banking in 1996 and spent 26 years addressing hunger related issues in the area. Having experience at two hunger relief organizations allowed her to collaborate with great teams while following her passion for helping those in need.

She looks forward to bringing all she has learned and experienced in sourcing, food box programs and process improvements to Umoja.

Lenora holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from The University of Missouri St. Louis and serves as Board President for Rustic Roots Sanctuary; a sustainable retreat that creates access to fresh produce and supports growers all over St. Louis.

Her favorite food is anything that involves seafood!
